I was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia with a brief stop across the bridge in Phenix City,

Alabama. Growing up I competed all across the United States in Tae Kwon Do and am a 2nd,

Degree Blackbelt. I played soccer as well before dedicating myself to the debate, chess, and

math teams in high school. I graduated from Columbus High Magnet Academy in 2011.

I continued my academic career at Emory University (Atlanta, GA) and graduated in May 2015

with both my bachelor’s and Master’s in Mathematics in an accelerated program.

I began working at Epic Systems Corporation in 2016 and was responsible for Admission,

Discharge and Transfer Software for some of the biggest hospitals in America, including Mt.

Sinai in Miami. While doing this I realized I missed mathematics and applied to grad school. I

started at Auburn fall of 2017 and have been here ever since.

While in graduate school I have had 4 surgeries (11 in total) that have made me a stronger

person and taught me about perseverance and compassion. I have been lucky enough to utilize

that in the classroom where I have taught a dozen classes and ran the department tutoring

center.

In addition to math, I love chess and reading a good book. I am an avid sports fan and love

soccer, never missing a Manchester City or US National Team game if they are on television.
